Author Guidelines

1. About the Journal

  • International Transactions on Parametric Engineering Simulations (ITPES) is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes high-quality simulation-only research across multidisciplinary engineering domains. The journal exclusively focuses on parametric modeling, numerical simulation, computational analysis, and system-level evaluation of engineering systems.

2. Scope of Submissions

  • ITPES welcomes original contributions that employ parametric and computational simulation techniques in, but not limited to, the following areas:

    • Electrical and Power Engineering

    • Renewable Energy Systems and Microgrids

    • Power Electronics and Drives (simulation only)

    • Control Systems and Automation

    • Electric Vehicles and Energy Management

    • Computer and Computational Engineering

    • Optimization, AI/ML-based simulation models

    • Mechanical, thermal, and multiphysics simulations

    • All manuscripts must clearly demonstrate parametric variation, sensitivity analysis, optimization, or numerical experimentation.

3. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles (simulation frameworks, modeling trends)

  • Comparative Simulation Studies

  • Methodology and Modeling Papers

  • Purely theoretical papers without simulation validation are discouraged unless accompanied by numerical verification.

4. Simulation-Only Requirement (Mandatory)

  • All submissions must satisfy the following conditions:

    • Results must be obtained entirely through simulation

    • Clear definition of parameters, assumptions, and boundary conditions

    • Mathematical models and algorithms must be described in detail

    • Solver settings, step sizes, and simulation duration must be stated

    • Reproducibility of results must be ensured

5. Accepted Simulation Tools

  • Authors may use any recognized numerical or simulation platform, including:

    • MATLAB / Simulink, Python, Julia, GNU Octave

    • PSCAD/EMTDC, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, OpenDSS, PSS®E, ETAP

    • ANSYS, COMSOL Multiphysics, ABAQUS, OpenFOAM

    • PSIM, PLECS, LTspice, NGspice, Modelica

    • GAMS, AMPL, AnyLogic, SimPy, HOMER, EnergyPlus, TRNSYS

    • FMI/FMU-based co-simulation tools

  • Equivalent or custom-developed simulation frameworks are acceptable if fully documented.

6. Manuscript Preparation

  • 6.1 Language

    • Manuscripts must be written in clear, professional English

  • 6.2 Manuscript Structure

    • A typical manuscript should include:

    • Title

    • Abstract (150–250 words)

    • Keywords (4–6)

    • Introduction

    • System Description / Modeling

    • Parametric Simulation Methodology

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • References

7. Formatting Guidelines

  • File format: MS Word (.doc/.docx)

  • Page layout: Single column

  • Font: Times New Roman, 11 or 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.15 or 1.5

  • Figures: High resolution, clearly labeled

  • Tables: Editable format, properly captioned

  • Equation numbering and symbol definitions are mandatory.

8. Figures, Tables, and Equations

  • All figures and tables must be cited in the text

  • Simulation block diagrams must be legible and self-explanatory

  • Axes labels, units, and legends are compulsory

  • Parametric plots must clearly indicate variable ranges

9. References and Citations

  • References must be relevant and up-to-date

  • Any standard citation style is acceptable if used consistently

  • Software and tool versions must be cited where applicable

  • Self-plagiarism and excessive self-citation are discouraged

10. Peer Review Process

  • Double-blind peer review

  • Minimum of two independent reviewers

  • Reviewers evaluate:

    • Modeling accuracy

    • Parametric depth

    • Simulation validity

    • Reproducibility

    • Technical contribution

  • The editorial decision may be Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

11. Publication Ethics

  • ITPES follows strict ethical standards:

    • Zero tolerance for plagiarism or data fabrication

    • Manuscripts must be original and unpublished

    • Concurrent submissions are not allowed

    • Ethical use of AI and computational tools is required

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism-detection software.

12. Copyright and Open Access

  • Authors retain copyright of their work

  • Published articles are made available online

  • Open access policies will be clearly stated on the journal website

13. Submission Process
